My babysitter's daughter is expecting a baby boy in a little less than 3 weeks, and I wanted to give the new bundle something special. My youngest LOVES blankets, so I thought this would be a perfect (and simple!) gift to make him.
I chose two minky fabrics in bold colors. I wanted something bright since newborns do not see pastels too well. I used Minky Toy Chest in Azure for the main fabric and a bright yellow minky fabric for the reverse side. I sewed the fabrics right side together, leaving a small opening for turning. After turning the blanket right side out, I topstitched around the edge. Very simple! And the best part is that I had enough fabric to make two of these blankets, so my Jakey can keep one! :)
