Long Crossback Apron in Laminated Cotton

I wanted to share a great apron that I just finished before I sent it off to my customer.  My customer is an art teacher and asked if I could make her a longer version of my crossback apron in a waterproof fabric.  I suggested a couple of laminated cotton fabrics that I thought she might like, and she came back with this great modern laminate called Outside Oslo by Jessica Jones.  I loved this fabric and was excited to work with it.  It turns out that this is a custom design made exclusively for The Needle Shop in Chicago.

Isn't this fabric great??!!
The fabric is a cotton canvas, so it is very durable and should last through many art classes!

So, I lengthened my pattern and here is how it turned out:

And a couple of closeups:

I might order some more of this fabric to make myself the Day in the Park Backpack Tote that I have been meaning to make for a LONG time!  Hopefully I will have a post about that someday  :)
